The official Google Webmaster Central Blog has announced the international availability of Rich Snippets within the search results. Rich Snippets are a feature of the Google Search Engine to add additional information to the search results. This additional information is based on semantic web data (RDFa) and the Microformats standard. To become part of the search results, the standards have to be used to add information to websites. Usually this information is invisible and readable by machines only. Some important examples are information about persons like social media profiles or reviews in the range of online shopping. Further information about Rich Snippets and the internationalization is available by the following official blog post.
