Already about 30 % of US Americans have internet connected tv, a report by Leichtman says, facilitated by either directly connected tv sets or peripheral devices. This emerging market is huge already, but has its particular difficulties regarding the promising idea of market research and direct connections to consumer. Already the fact of several family members is an obstacle. Interestingly only 10 % of those connected by such devices use this connection to view online video, which means to all others using this connection for typical internet tasks.
