The problems of the news industry ranging from problems offline with less sales to online problems with the need of new income streams are well known. Social media and especially Twitter have become new news destinations.
Now HubPages, a site dedicated to user generated news, has started a new round in this game. As TechCrunch reports the service has started to distribute news submitted to the site in realtime. The service had 20 million unique visitors in November and traffic increased 112 % during the year.
